Super easy 3 ingredients Cloud cake

This cloud cake went viral on Tik-Tok for a reason because it is so easy, basically fail-proof. You only need 3 ingredients, then you can enjoy this sweet dessert on your plate. This cake is super fluffy, and when you bite on it, it feels like biting on a cloud. It has a texture like a pillow and you can make it a round shape, heart shape, or pointy shape, as you wish. After whisking the mixture until the peak is hard, you can pour it onto the parchment sheet, then shape it into the shape you want.

I also place pumpkin seeds on top of the mixture before I put it into the oven, this has added a nutty taste when biting into the cake. The cake itself did not have much taste other than pretty sweet, because the main ingredient is only 3 egg whites. What I try to add a bit of taste is to add 1 tablespoon of matcha powder to this mixture, then add color and cake. I think this is a better choice than adding food coloring, but you can make your version of taste, for example, you can add 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder to the mixture, or add walnut or poppy seed on the top of the cake.

  • 1 hand-held mixer
  • 1 baking tray
  • 1 mixing bowl

Ingredients
  

  • 3 egg white
  • 2.5 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch

  • 1 Tbsp matcha powder
  • 10 gm pumpkin seed to decorate

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 300F
  • Whisk egg white with a hand-held mixer on medium speed until frothy
  • Gradually add sugar and cornstarch into the mixture, (also add in matcha powder at this time), and whisk on high speed until the stiff peak is formed
  • Line baking tray with parchment paper
  • Gently scoop out the mixture to put on parchment paper and shape into your desired shape
  • Place pumpkin seed on top to decorate
  • Place in oven for 20 minutes or until light brown color on the outside
